The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on Jul 20, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said.

"We have issued instructions for our SSC results to be released on Jul 20 and we will announce our SSC examination routine and everything else at a later time," he said at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Monday afternoon.

The SSC and equivalent examinations began on Apr 21. The SSC theory examinations ended on May 20, while the Dakhil and Vocational theory exams ended on May 24.

This year, around 1.86 million students registered for the SSC and equivalent examinations.

Of them, 1,418,398 students registered for the SSC examination under the general education boards, 3,4286 for the Dakhil examinations under the Madrasah Board, and 134,660 candidates for the vocational examinations under the Technical Education Boards.

It has long been the custom to publish the results of public examinations within two months of the end of the tests.
