Sharif, 55, is not involved with any political party.

His chief income source is a plastic factory from which he earns Tk 90,000 yearly. He also owns a two-storey building and a tin-shed with eight rooms. He also owns Tk 1.52 million worth of movable assets.

Sharif has a criminal case against him on trial in the Dowry Prohibition Act with the Narayanganj Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
