Islami Andolan leader Atikur Rahman Nannu Munshi is competing for the mayoral post with ox-cart as his electoral symbol.
Atikur, 53, a businessman by profession, is able to sign his name. According to his affidavit, his yearly income is Tk 428,940.
Munshi has a total property worth Tk 17.3 million including eight tank lorries. He also has 11 decimal land in Demra, 23 decimal in Rupganj and nine decimal in Matuail area. He also owns a two-storey market and a five-storey under-construction building. He also has a bank loan of Tk 20 million.
Munshi has six criminal cases against him. He is on bail in all of the cases.
