Australia were 17 for one in their second innings at lunch on day three of the third Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval on Friday, after bowling England out for 286. The hosts lead by 102 runs.
England seamer Brydon Carse dismissed Jake Weatherald lbw for one with a ball that pitched outside the line. The opener declined to review the decision, though, missing a chance to overturn the wicket.
Australia opener Travis Head was five not out, with number three Marnus Labuschagne on four at the break.
England earlier resumed in the morning on 213 for eight, with Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer adding 106 runs for the ninth wicket.
Stokes brought up his 37th Test fifty off 159 balls with a single off seamer Scott Boland before being bowled for 83 by left-arm quick Mitchell Starc.
Jofra Archer raised his first Test fifty with a single off Pat Cummins and finished 51 off 105 balls.
Boland (3-45) wrapped up the innings by having Archer caught in the slips. Australia captain Cummins finished with 3-69 on his return to the Test side from a back injury.
Australia, who hold the urn, lead the series 2-0 after eight-wicket wins in Perth and Brisbane.
