A day after the board of directors assumed office, newly appointed chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Tamim Iqbal has announced the names of the chiefs of different departments.

After the board of directors meeting on Tuesday, the BCB chief said he will continue to head the working committee and the facilities department.

He oversaw these two departments while leading the ad-hoc committee before Sunday's election.

Tamim bagged 73 of 74 votes in Category 2 -- the highest among all candidates.

Following the result, he was elected unopposed as BCB president, becoming the board's 21st chief.

The BCB has assigned the responsibilities of 21 committees to 23 executive panels, leaving the cricket management department and Bangladesh Tigers committee without chairpersons.

Like President Tamim, Shanian Taneem Naveen, Syed Ibrahim Ahmed and Fahim Sinha will each oversee two portfolios.

Naveen will head the Grounds Committee and High Performance Department, Ibrahim the Security and Tender and Purchase committees, while Fahim will lead both the BPL Governing Council and the game development department.

Elsewhere, Sirajuddin Md Alamgir will chair the Tournament Committee, Mirza Yasir Abbas the Umpires Committee, Asif Rabbani the Media and Communications Department, and Moin Uddin Chowdhury the CCDM, which oversees Dhaka cricket.

With no female director on the board, Rafiqul Islam Babu has been entrusted with the women's wing.

Former chief selector Minhajul Abedin will head the age-group cricket committee, while Masuduzzaman will oversee marketing and serve as BPL Governing Council vice-chairman.

The BCB board now comprises 23 directors after Rajshahi Division representative Mir Shakrul Alam Simanto resigned on Monday.
