West Indies batsmen Campbell, Hope record highest opening partnership of 365 in ODIs
John Campbell and Shai Hope of the West Indies have smashed a record highest opening partnership against Ireland in the first One-Day International of the tri-series.

In Dublin on Sunday, they moved past last year’s 304-run stand put up by Pakistan‘s Fakhar Zanan and Imam-ul-Haq against Zimbabwe.
The West Indies openers created hope of breaking the highest partnership for any stand on their way to the massive 365-run stand, scoring boundaries at will. Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels have the highest ODI partnership of 372 runs which they scored against Zimbabwe in 2015.
Campbell and Hope dominated a toothless Ireland bowling attack with another record – 150 runs by both openers in ODIs.
The partnership ended in the 48th over when Campbell hit a Barry McCarthy delivery with the top half of the bat and the ball went up in the air before captain William Porterfield took the catch.
His 179 off 137 was laced with 15 boundaries and six towering hits over the fence.
Hope followed his partner two balls later, adding 170 off 152 with 22 boundaries and two sixes.
West Indies finally made 381 for three.
