BCB has decided to change the design of the Bangladesh team's World Cup jersey amid intense criticism from fans on social media.
The change of heart came a day after the design of the jersey was unveiled in Dhaka on Monday. “Red and green will be used in the jersey,” Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan said at a news conference in Dhaka.
The BCB has written to the International Cricket Council seeking to change the design of the jersey.
The BCB chief showed the red and green jersey for the World Cup scheduled from May 30 in England and Wales at the news conference at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
It has red in its sleeves and Bangladesh written in white on a red rectangle in the background in chest.
