Bangladesh has called up newcomers Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Shahid and Liton Kumar Das for the first Test against Pakistan.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board in a media statement on Friday night announced the 14-member squad with the three in line to make their Test debut.
The hosts will face off the tourists in the first of the two-match series on Apr 28 at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
Liton was in the Twenty20 International team on Friday, but did not play.
The opening batsman was selected after he scored the highest runs in last year’s National Cricket League.
Soumya has been rewarded with a Test call for his brilliant batting in the ODI series.
The left-handed opener hit his maiden ton in the last match of the ODI series against Pakistan.
Fast bowler Shahid has been added in the squad as an extra weapon in the pace arsenal.
The squad: Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Liton Kumar Das, Mominul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (Captain), Mahmudullah, Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury, Soumya Sarkar, Taijul Islam, Jubair Hossain, Shahadat Hossain, Rubel Hossain and Mohammad Shahid.
