DUCSU VP Shadik Kayem among nine Shibir central leaders stepping down

Shibir says its central council would fill the vacant posts at a meeting on Tuesday

A leadership reshuffle has begun in Islami Chhatra Shibir, with DUCSU Vice-President Abu Shadik Kayem among nine central leaders stepping down after completing their studies.

The development was confirmed on Monday by Shibir Central Publicity Secretary SM Farhad.

The others are Central Media Secretary Mutasim Billah Shahedy, HRD Secretary Shorif Mahmud, Student Rights Secretary Mohibur Rahman Muhib, Planning and Development Secretary Riazul Islam, Business Education Secretary Md Nurul Huda, Library Secretary Arafat Hossain Milon, Debate Secretary Habibur Rahman Arman and Dawah Secretary Shaheen Ahmod.

Farhad said, "We hold two farewell rounds each year -- one half-yearly and another annual. This time, nine leaders stepped down under a decision of the central committee.

"The central council will meet on Tuesday to fill these positions."
