Associate Prof Israfil named acting proctor of Dhaka University

Assistant Prof Saifuddin has resigned from the post earlier in the day

Dhaka University has appointed Associate Prof Md Israfil Ratan of the Department of Graphic Design as acting proctor.

Vice-Chancellor Prof ABM Obaidul made the appointment on Sunday, the Public Relations Office said.

A notice from the administration drew attention to the rules and procedures regarding the duties of the proctor as outlined in Chapter 11 of the Dhaka University Calendar Part-2 (1997).

Earlier in the day, Saifuddin Ahmed, assistant professor of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, resigned from the post.
