French Ambassador to Bangladesh Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet has visited American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) to promote higher education opportunities in France.

According to a media statement, he was accompanied by Cultural Attaché Baptiste Lebret and Campus France Bangladesh Country Head Syeda Naasiba Hossain during the visit on Tuesday.

During the visit, the ambassador held a courtesy meeting with AIUB Board of Trustees Founder Member Ishtiaque Abedin, Vice-Chancellor Prof Saiful Islam, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Abdur Rahman, Registrar Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan and Proctor Prof Manzur H Khan.

An information session titled “Higher Education in France” was conducted by Hossain, covering academic opportunities, the French education system, tuition fees, scholarships, living costs and available courses.

Ambassador Séré-Charlet highlighted France’s commitment to expanding international academic cooperation, the statement said.

Officials said the visit would help strengthen educational ties between Bangladesh and France and open new avenues for academic collaboration and exchange.
