Ten top private universities have begun competing in the 15th ULAB Fair Play Cup T20 cricket tournament.
The inaugural ceremony of the event, which features “ten top private universities in a spirited celebration of youth, teamwork, and fair play”, was held on Wednesday, according to a press release from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB).
Teams from Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, BRAC University, Dhaka International University, Independent University, Bangladesh, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, International Standard University, North South University, United International University, Uttara University and ULAB will be taking part in the tournament.
The competition will run from Apr 16 to May 2.
The opening ceremony was attended by ULAB’s Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Jude William Genilo, Registrar lt col (retd) Md Foyzul Islam, Senior Manager of External Affairs Muhammad Taufiq Aziz, and senior officials, faculty, staff, and student supporters.
Hosts ULAB won the opening match against Uttara University by a triumphant 129 runs.
