BUBT Sports Week concludes with CSE claiming championship title

Engineering and Applied Sciences students won against Arts and Humanities students in the women’s final

The Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) Sports Week and Deans’ Cup Cricket Tournament 2025 has concluded with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) bagging the men’s championship title.

The grand finale started with the women’s final at 9am on Saturday, where the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences beat the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the BUBT Sports Complex.

At 11am, the Staff Team secured victory against the Faculty of Law in the faculty and staff tournament.

The men’s Deans’ Cup final started at 2pm, with the Department of CSE defeating the Department of English to claim the trophy.

BUBT Vice-Chancellor Prof ABM Shawkat Ali attended the prize-giving ceremony as chief guest, congratulating the winners and participants.

“Sports are an integral part of university life. They not only build physical strength but also teach teamwork, discipline, and leadership,” he said.

The week-long tournament was organised by the BUBT Sports Club.
