The cluster admissions examinations for the 2024-25 academic year will start at 19 universities from Apr 25 with the tests for the “C Unit” (Business Studies).
Admissions applications will be made available on Mar 5.
Prof Md Anwarul Azim Akhand, vice chancellor of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University and convener of the Cluster Admissions Committee, confirmed the dates on Wednesday.
A notice has also been published on the cluster website regarding the admissions process. It says that applications will open from noon on Mar 5 and students can apply until 11:59pm on Mar 15.
The cluster admissions will be conducted according to three streams – Science, Humanities, and Business Studies. The “C Unit” (Business Studies) examination will start at 11am on Apr 25 and will end at noon..
The “B Unit” (Humanities) examination will be held on May 2 from 11am to noon, while the “A Unit” (Science) examination will be held from noon to 1pm on May 9. The “Architecture Drawing” examination will also be held from 3pm to 4pm that day.
Prof Akhand said, "Through continuous technical meetings, we have finalised the cluster admission plan. We will publish the notice on the website very soon.”
"Many of the universities that have dropped the cluster system have taken and are taking exams under their own management. I do not see any opportunity for them to return to the cluster system anymore. If everything goes well, we will successfully complete this year's cluster examination for these 19 universities."
The application fee for participating in the entrance examination has been set at Tk 1,500. This fee has to be paid online. In case of participation in the drawing examination for the Department of Architecture, an additional Tk 500 will be added to the application fee. The application can be found on the GST Cluster Universities' Integrated Admission Examination website (www.gstadmission.ac.bd).
