The Institute of Research and Training (IRT) of Southeast University (SEU) has organised Student Research Day 2025, featuring research presentations by students from different academic departments.
A total of 55 students presented their research findings at the event on Sunday, covering academic and applied topics.
The event began with opening remarks by Prof Mofazzal Hossain, pro vice-chancellor of the university.
Samina Ahmed, chairman of the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), attended as the chief guest, while Syed Saad Andaleeb, professor emeritus at Pennsylvania State University, was the special guest.
The event was chaired by Prof Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, vice-chancellor of Southeast University.
Based on the evaluation, Md Nafees Imtiaz (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Sajed Ahamed Rifat (Department of Pharmacy) and Shanjida Akter Preety (Department of English) were selected as the top oral presenters.
The top poster presentation awards went to Mohammad Farhan Tanvir (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Anamika Akter Omi (Department of English) and Md Abdur Rahman (Department of Computer Science and Engineering).
