Daffodil International University has sustained its position in the 1001–1200 band worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2027.

“This achievement reinforces DIU’s growing reputation as a focused and very high research-intensive university with increasing international visibility and impact,” Daffodil said in a statement.

DIU is ranked second among private universities in Bangladesh and fourth among both public and private universities in the country.

The statement says this reflects the institution’s “steady progress toward becoming a globally recognised institution of higher learning and research”.

The QS World University Rankings says it evaluates universities across key performance indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, internationalisation, faculty strength, sustainability, and global engagement.

“DIU’s inclusion in this distinguished global cohort demonstrates the university's sustained commitment to academic excellence, impactful research, innovation, graduate employability, and international collaboration,” Daffodil said.

“The university expressed its sincere gratitude to its faculty members, visiting professors, researchers, students, employees, staff, alumni, industry partners, international collaborators, and well-wishers for their contributions to this achievement. Their collective efforts have played a vital role in strengthening DIU’s global standing.”

DIU says it is continuing to strengthen its status as a world class institution through excellence in education, research, innovation, international collaboration and meaningful social impact, and its position in the QS World University Rankings 2027 reflects that drive.

DIU has also secured a position in the US News Best Global Universities Rankings 2026–2027, where it is ranked 2nd among private universities and 4th in Bangladesh, 366th in Asia and 1061st globally.
