Rajshahi University investigating assault on three students

Rajshahi University has formed a five-member committee to investigate the alleged assault of three students by RUCSU General Secretary Salahuddin Ammar and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir.

Student organisations condemned the incident, alleging it was an attempt to destabilise the campus.

The committee, headed by Prof Md Rezaul Karim of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, was formed on Monday night.

On Tuesday, committee members visited the university's Central Library and the RUCSU building, where the clash occurred.
