Shahajpath High School will hold a five-day Shikkha Sangskriti Utshab 2026 at Bangla Academy in Dhaka from Jul 21 to Jul 25.
The festival, organised from 6–10 Srabon 1433 on the Bangla calendar, will include exhibitions of artwork, science and social science projects, and research produced by students, the school said in a statement.
The programme will also feature stage performances in Bangla and English, including plays, group songs, dance, Jari Gaan and Puthi Path, with participation from children across the school.
The main inauguration will be held on Friday, Jul 24, at 5:30pm at the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium at Bangla Academy.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj is scheduled to inaugurate the event.
A cultural programme featuring drama, dance, music and recitation by students will follow from 6pm to 8pm.
On Saturday, Jul 25, the festival will continue with English-language drama and performances inspired by world literature and culture at the same venue.
Organisers say the festival is part of Shahajpath High School's broader child education initiative aimed at promoting students' all-round development through creative and academic activities.
They hope wider media coverage will encourage more children to engage in similar educational and cultural programmes.
Parents, educationists and invited guests, including Bobby Hajjaj, are expected to attend.
The festival will be open to the public.
