The Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), in collaboration with the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, has inaugurated the newly renovated “RISE Seminar Room” on the BUET campus.
The inauguration took place on Saturday and, according to MGI, reflects the continued commitment of both institutions to strengthening industry–academia collaboration through research and knowledge sharing.
BUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while MGI Director Tanjima Mostafa was present as a special guest.
Also in attendance were Director of RISE Professor Mohammad Shariful Islam, MGI Executive Director (UCIL) Mohammed Khurshed Alam, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Sanjib Kumar Saha, Sr GM (Brand) Kazi Md Mohiuddin, along with the distinguished deans, directors, heads of departments, and respected faculty members of BUET and MGI officials
According to a media statement, the RISE Seminar Room has been renovated as part of the ongoing collaboration between MGI and BUET to facilitate idea and knowledge exchange, research and development, and innovation.
The facility is intended to provide aspiring engineers with opportunities to engage with industry perspectives, emerging technologies and innovation-led practices, the company said.
Aspiring engineers can engage with industry insights, emerging technologies, and innovation in this seminar room, it added.
