The East West University Creative Marketing Club (EWUCMC) has organised an exclusive corporate session in collaboration with Unilever Bangladesh Limited.

Titled "Learn to Lead", the event was held on Monday at the Manzur Elahi Auditorium on the university campus.

The event brought together over 350 students to prepare them for their future careers, EWU said in a statement.

The event was attended by Prof Mohammed Farashuddin, chairperson of the EWU Board of Trustees, Prof Shams Rahman, vice-chancellor of EWU, and Zaheen Sajidul Islam, Business Unit Chief at Unilever Bangladesh Limited.

The programme was divided into two sections.

In the Faculty Connect Session, Unilever officials “met with the faculty members of EWU's Department of Business Administration to discuss strategic collaborations aimed at narrowing the gap between academic curricula and evolving industry needs,” the statement said.

It was followed by the Masterclass, “a deep-dive session focused on equipping students with crucial tips to excel in highly competitive corporate entry points, specifically the Unilever Leaders Internship Program (ULIP) and Unilever’s flagship Management Trainee Program, the Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP).”

The session ended with a Q&A segment.

Discussions were held on modern leadership dynamics, recruitment standards, and the core skill sets required to thrive in the corporate world.
