Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, has announced a full panel of 28 members running in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections.

The former president of Shibir’s Dhaka University branch Sadiq Kayem is the nominee for DUCSU vice-president, while Shibir's DU branch President SM Farhad is its nominee for general secretary.

In addition, Dhaka University Shibir branch General Secretary Mohiuddin Khan is running for the post of deputy general secretary. Fatima Tasnim Juma, who came from Inqilab Mancha, will run for the Liberation War and Democratic Movement posts.

Shibir leaders and activists presented the details of the panel at a press conference at the office of the Chief Returning Officer on Monday after collecting nomination forms.

Iqbal Haider will run as the panel’s nominee for science and technology secretary, Umme Salma as the common room, reading room and cafeteria secretary, and Khan Jasim as the international affairs secretary.

Nurul Islam Sabbir, who is currently serving as DU Shibir’s finance secretary, is running for the post of literary and cultural secretary. Arman Hossain is running for sports secretary, Asif Abdullah, the president of Metropolitan Chhatra Shibir, will vie for the post of student transport secretary, and Shariful Islam Muaz is the nominee for social service secretary.

In addition, DU Shibir's office secretary Sajjad Hossain Khan is contesting the research and publication secretary post, while Mazharul Islam runs for career development secretary, Abdullah Al Minhaj for health and environment secretary, and Sakhawat Zakaria for human rights and legal affairs secretary.
