During the second consecutive day of protests demanding the enactment of the Dhaka Central University ordinance, a Dhaka University bus has reportedly been vandalised by students from seven colleges who were blocking the Science Laboratory intersection.

The students staged the blockade around 12:45pm on Thursday. By 2:30pm, the bus, which had been trapped in the blockade, was attacked, according to university authorities.

Two Dhaka University students were reportedly injured during the incident.

Assistant Proctor Rafiqul Islam said the bus, named Arjon, had two windows broken by bricks and stones, and its exterior was damaged.

The vehicle ferries students on the campus route from the Leather Engineering and Technology Institute in Hazaribagh. He added that the bus was attacked during its afternoon trip at the Science Lab junction and is currently stationed in the university’s VC courtyard.
