Dhaka University has formed a three-member committee to investigate allegations that teachers were involved in “covert anti-state activities” to bring former prime minister Sheikh Hasina back from exile in India.
The university’s Public Relations Office said Prof Abdus Salam, pro-vice-chancellor for education, will head the committee.
A statement said the names of 58 teachers allegedly involved in such activities have already been identified.
Through the move, Dhaka University joined several others that formed similar panels in recent months.
