Shariful Islam, founder and managing director of Bangladesh Brand Forum, addressed ULAB’s Fall 2025 Freshers’ Orientation on Sept 18 as the guest speaker.

He told students they were stepping into a rapidly changing world shaped by inequality, climate pressures and the disruptive rise of artificial intelligence, a media statement read.

Success, he said, would require not only digital, communication, sustainability and teamwork skills, but also core values such as integrity, responsibility, respect, compassion and a sense of purpose.

ULAB Vice-Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Jude Genilo also welcomed the incoming students.
