Dhaka Feb 10 (bdnews24.com)—Mirza Abdul Jalil, a former secretary and agriculture specialist, was Tuesday appointed chairman of the Privatisation Commission.
Jalil told bdnews24.com he would take over on Wednesday.
He has been a member of the ruling Awami League advisory council and president of Bangladesh Krishak (farmers') League.
Jalil's last post in civil service was at the ministry of science and technology as secretary.
