Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UnionPay International, with the hotel describing the partnership as a milestone for Bangladesh’s hospitality and payment services sectors.

Holiday Inn said the agreement makes it the first hotel in Bangladesh to sign an MoU with UnionPay.

The partnership aims to enhance payment convenience, offer greater value to customers and provide exclusive benefits to UnionPay cardholders using the hotel’s hospitality services, according to a media statement.

The two organisations plan to introduce cardholder privileges, promotional offers and customer-focused initiatives across selected hotel services, while supporting demand for secure, convenient and internationally recognised payment solutions in Bangladesh.

The MoU also represents another step in the hotel's ongoing efforts to build partnerships with leading global financial and payment organisations, offering guests greater payment flexibility and a more seamless experience, the statement said.

As part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, the hotel said it remains committed to internationally recognised hospitality standards while introducing services and partnerships aimed at meeting the changing needs of local and international guests.

The collaboration is likely to create opportunities for joint promotional campaigns, exclusive cardholder benefits and value-added experiences.

Details of specific offers and initiatives will be announced through their official channels.
