Apex Footwear has concluded the Apex Golf Tournament 2026.
The four-day tournament, held from Jan 14 to 17, ended with a prize-giving ceremony on Saturday at the club’s Golf Garden, followed by a cultural event and gala dinner.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
Among others attending were Lt Gen (retd) Khan Firoz Ahmed, president of the Army Golf Club, Apex Footwear Chairman Golam Mainuddin, and Managing Director Syed Nasim Manzur.
According to the organisers, 813 amateur golfers competed in the tournament across five categories: regular, veteran, senior, lady, and junior, making it one of the largest amateur golf events hosted at the venue.
Col Imtiaz Mahmud emerged as the overall champion of the tournament.
Category titles went to Col (retd) Mohammad Mohiuddin in the veteran group, Brig Gen (retd) Abdullah-Al-Azhar in the senior group, Sarmin Jahangir in the women’s category and Syed Mahdi Mahbeer in the junior category.
In a media statement, Apex Footwear said the tournament was part of its efforts to support sporting activities and promote healthy competition.
