Trading has been suspended indefinitely for three listed non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) after Bangladesh Bank declared them “defunct”.

The three companies are Fareast Finance and Investment Limited, FAS Finance and Investment Limited, and International Leasing and Financial Services Limited.

Both stock exchanges informed investors of the move on Monday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country's larger bourse, said on its website about International Leasing and Financial Services:

"Having been declared defunct under the Bank Resolution Act, 2026, trading of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited's shares will remain suspended from the 10th of August until further notice."

Similar statements were issued for Farest Finance and FAS Finance.

Bangladesh Bank had declared all three NBFIs, along with Aviva Finance Limited, "defunct" on Sunday night.

Of the four, only Aviva Finance is not listed on the stock market.
