AKIJ Resource Limited has received the SDG Brand Champion Award 2025 in the Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure category.

The award was presented on Saturday at the Sustainability Summit 2025 at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka.

The day-long summit organised by the Bangladesh Brand Forum and Sustainable Brand Initiative brought together “leading business leaders, policymakers, climate and environmental experts, academics, and social entrepreneurs”, AKIJ Resource said in a press release.

The attendees had “thought-provoking conversations” and “shared insights” on sustainability and innovation in Bangladesh's business sector

Sohanur Rahman Sohan, deputy chief operating officer, and Mohammad Towfique Hasan, chief business development officer, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

“Under the visionary leadership of Managing Director and CEO Sheikh Jasim Uddin, AKIJ Resource has been driving digital transformation and paperless operations to reduce environmental impact while enhancing technological efficiency,” AKIJ Resource said.

“The company leverages real-time integration and data-driven practices across all levels of the organisation, enabling smart and agile decision-making.”

The use of automation, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing have integrated lean methods and operational excellence, resulting in “more sustainable, flexible, and efficient processes”, the company said.

The integration of HR and finance systems guarantees transparency and consistency while centralised monitoring and remote work options keep the organisation in line with contemporary global business models, it added.
