ADN EduServices, a spin-off of AND Group, launched four brands in partnership with Aptech International at a ceremony at Krishibid Institution Auditorium in Dhaka on Monday.
The four brands are Aptech Computer Education or ACE, Aptech Hardware and Networking Academy or AHNA, Arena Multimedia, and Aptech English Learning Academy or AELA.
Aptech provides training to around 6.8 million students in 40 countries across the world through 1,300 centres. Bangladesh is the new addition to the list.
State Minister for Education Kazi Keramat Ali attended the programme as chief guest.
He also welcomed Aptech International for its efforts to provide quality training in partnership with ADN.
ADN and Aptech also hope they will be able to provide training to equip the youth and professional as per industry demand.
ADN EduServices Managing Director Tapan Kanti Sarkar said the information technology sector would experience rapid changes by 2025, and building skilled workforce could bring positive changes to Bangladesh’s economy.
He said the real application of technology has brought growth to hardware, networking, media and entertainment, creating unlimited opportunities.
“Now it’s time to use these opportunities to move forward. And this joint venture aims to help (Bangladesh) move forward,” he said.
Post and Telecommunications Secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder said, “We cannot expect anything better without the skilled human resources. Skilled workforce means economic prosperity."
Dutch-Bangla Bank Managing Director Abul Kashem Md Shirin, Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum, Additional Finance Secretary Sushanta Kumar Saha, iDEA Project Senior Consultant Harunur Rashid and Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Subhankar Saha, among others, were present.
