Speaking on the party’s stance, Leader of the Opposition Shafiqur Rahman said: “As representatives of the people, in the budget session starting [on Sunday], the Opposition will play a strong and constructive role in protecting the economic rights of ordinary citizens and building a welfare-oriented state.”
The meeting, presided over by Jamaat chief Shafiqur, was attended by deputy leader Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Chief Whip and National Citizen Party (NCP) Convenor Nahid Islam, along with other MPs.
