Chittagong, March 11 (BDNEWS) - The remains of the slain businessman and BNP leader Jamaluddin Ahmed Chowdhury were buried at his family graveyard in Anwara upazila of the district Saturday.
The burial of substances of the BNP leader, who was abducted in July 2003 and later killed, took place at around 5:30 pm after two namaz-e-janaza held at Mohsin Awolia shrine ground and JBC high school maidan.
Meanwhile, several hundred people of his village brought out processions and demanded trial of the local BNP lawmaker Sarwar Jamal MP and his younger brother Maruf Nizam for their alleged involvement in the abduction and murder of Jamaluddin.
Inspector of CID, who is also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, Anwar Hossain said police would file another murder case in this connection.
