President mourns Baby Maudud’s demise

President Abdul Hamid has expressed deep sorrow at the demise of veteran journalist and former MP AN Mahfuza Khatun Baby Maudud.

Baby Maudud died at a Dhaka hospital on Friday after a long battle with cancer. She was 66.

In a condolence message, the president said, "Baby Maudud was an honest and brave journalist. Her death is a loss for the nation."

He offered his condolences to her family members and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
