Pipilika starts journey

Pipilikia, country’s first search engine, capable of searching both in Bengali and English, has officially gone online on the eve of Pahela Baishakh on Saturday.

Information and Communication Technology Minister Mostafa Faruque Mohammed launched the www.pipilika.com at the Ruposhi Bangla Hotel.

The engine is capable of automatically analysing and saving data from of country’s main Bengali and English newspapers, Bengali blogs and Bengali Wikipedia.

It has been developed by a group of students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
