Dhaka, Sept 15 (bdnews24.com) – Artist Nitun Kundu died of old age complications at Ibrahim Memorial Cardiac Centre in Dhaka Friday morning. He was 71.
Nitun Kundu was undergoing treatment for heart and kidney diseases and had been put on artificial life support system.
Doctors said he lost consciousness Tuesday afternoon when he was at work in his factory in Shyampur in the city. Soon after, he was moved to Ibrahim Cardiac Centre where he died at 7.55 am Friday.
Earlier he felt chest pain when he was returning home from Malaysia Monday.
His body will be taken to the Institute of Fine Arts Saturday at 10 am and will be kept there for an hour. At 11am his body will be kept at the Central Shahid Minar for people to pay their last respects.
Later the mortal remains of Nitun Kundu will be cremated at the Postagola cremation ground in the city.
