Dhaka, March 15 (bdnews24.com) – Army chief General Moeen U Ahmed arrived in Rangpur Saturday afternoon for a two-day visit.
On reaching Rangpur Cantonment, the army chief inaugurated a new golf club.
In a brief speech, the army chief said that work for the overall development of Rangpur was progressing.
"Development of its educational institutions, banks, small and medium enterprises and NGOs is also ongoing," he added.
In the evening, Moeen unveiled a book titled 'Golf and Golf Courses in Bangladesh.'
He is scheduled to open a sewing training programme for disadvantaged women at Begum Rokeya Memorial Centre Sunday.
