Dhaka, Jan 16 (BDNEWS) – Justice Mahfuzur Rahman was born on 1st February 1935. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1959 from Dhaka University (DU) and Bachelor of Law in 1962 from the same university.
Justice Mahfuzur Rahman is the son of late Khan Bahadur Siddiqur Rahman. He hails from Comilla.
He was enrolled as an advocate of the then High Court (HC) of Judicature at Dhaka in East Pakistan in 1963, advocate of the Appellate Division, Supreme Court (SC) of Bangladesh in 1980 and subsequently became one of the senior advocates.
He was elevated to the Bench as a judge of the HC Division in 1992 and laid his robe in 2000.
The justice was appointed as the chairman of the Administrative Appellate Tribunal for a period of one year by the then caretaker government in 2001.
