Dhaka, Sep 6 (bdnews24.com) – The Bangladesh Army has promoted three Brigadier Generals to the rank of Major General and made changes in five key positions.
Of the three new Maj Gens, Sheikh Mohammad Aman Hasan has been made the Director General of the Special Security Force (SSF), an Army Headquarters gazette notification said on Thursday.
Army HQ Chief Engineer Abdul Quadir has been made the Ordnance Factory Commandant, while Non-Commissioned Officers Academy Commandant A K M Abdur Rahman has been made the Army HQ Military Secretary.
SSF DG Maj Gen Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy has been transferred to the Ninth Infantry Division as its General Officers Commanding (GOC).
He replaces Maj Gen K M Mominur Rahman who has been made the Quarter Master General.
Ordnance Factory Commandant Maj Gen Abul Hossain has been made the Commandant of the Military Institute of Science and Technology in Mirpur.
Rangpur 66 Infantry Division GOC Maj Gen Sabbir Ahmed has been made the GOC of Chittagong 24 Infantry Division.
He has been replaced by Military Secretary of the Army HQ Maj Gen Salahuddin Miaji.
