Govt clears draft laws to form metropolitan police forces for Rangpur, Gazipur

Deputy Inspector General YM Belalur Rahman has become the chief of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, according to a home ministry order issued on Wednesday.  

DIG Mohammad Abdul Alim Mahmud has been appointed the chief of Rangpur Metropolitan Police.

The government recently cleared related laws on forming metropolitan police forces for the two cities.
