CUET students blockade Chattogram road, protest police attack on BUET peers

They call for apologies from advisors and treatment for the injured along with BUET students’ three-point demand

Students of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) have blocked a road in the city, protesting a police attack on their BUET peers in Dhaka over a three-point demand.

The demonstration began around 5:30pm on Wednesday when students took position on the road at the Sholoshahar No. 2 Gate intersection, halting traffic in the process.

During the protest, they demanded an executive order to implement their three-point demands, along with apologies from three advisors and the police force, as well as treatment for the injured students.

After occupying the road for nearly two hours, the students moved their demonstration to Biplob Udyan around 6:45pm, allowing traffic to return to normal.
