The government has withdrawn the divisional commissioner of Rajshahi and the deputy commissioners of Natore, Gaibandha and Rangpur from their posts for reassignment.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications on Tuesday night announcing the immediate withdrawal of the four administration cadre officers.
According to one notification, Natore DC Asma Shaheen, Gaibandha DC Mohammad Masudur Rahman Mulla, and Rangpur DC Mohammad Ruhul Amin have been removed from their respective posts and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
In a separate notification, Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner ANM Bazlur Rashid was similarly recalled and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration pending his next assignment.
Although the four field officials were relieved of their duties on Tuesday night, no new officers were immediately posted to replace them.
The notifications did not specify any reasons behind the late-night withdrawals.
