Police have seized 100kg of marijuana from a car that law enforcers signalled to stop in Dhaka’s Badda.
The car was speeding on Wednesday morning when police called for it to stop. The driver parked the vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Police are now working to find the driver and the owner of the vehicle.

A press release from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police said, "While on duty at the Badda Zone traffic check post in front of Habib Plaza, adjacent to BRAC University in Badda Aftabnagar, Sergeant Debapriya Barua signalled a Nissan jeep coming from the direction of Rampura at reckless speed to stop. Immediately after stopping the vehicle, the driver abandoned the vehicle on the road and ran away at speed."

Later, the traffic police searched the vehicle and recovered 100kg of marijuana from the back, the release said.
The police have learned that the vehicle is registered to a man named Milon Hossain from Cumilla.
The release said that the police have launched an operation to identify and arrest the absconding suspect involved in the incident.
