Envoy Zokey Ahad reviews progress of Bangladesh Bhaban construction work at Shantiniketan

A four-member delegation of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata has reviewed progress of the construction work of proposed ‘Bangladesh Bhaban’ at Visva-Bharati University in Shantiniketan.

During the visit on Friday, the delegation led by Deputy High Commissioner Zokey Ahad also held a meeting with university authorities and officials of the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) and discussed about the ongoing work, a press release issued by the high commission said.

 

At the meeting, Zokey Ahad stressed on timely completion of the work, the release said, adding the university delegation headed by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Swapan Kumar Datta assured that the work would be completed in time.

 

Zokey Ahad also expressed satisfaction over the progress of the work.

 

Once constructed, the ‘Bangladesh Bhaban’ will be the focal point for scholars involved in research and studies related to Bangladesh.
