Special arrangements made for women attending Khaleda Zia’s funeral prayers

Spaces have been allocated at the parliament’s South Plaza and along Manik Mia Avenue

The government has made special arrangements for women wishing to attend the funeral prayers of former prime minister Khaleda Zia.

A statement issued by the Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO) said separate arrangements have been put in place for women at the South Plaza of the parliament building and along Manik Mia Avenue, allowing them to take part in the prayers in an orderly and secure environment.

The statement added that the interim government has taken all necessary preparations to ensure participation from people of all walks of life in paying their final respects to Khaleda.

The funeral prayers are scheduled to be held after Zuhr at 2pm on Wednesday.

For security reasons, attendees have been requested not to carry any bags while joining the prayers.
