Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has met with leaders of Hifazat-e Islam Bangladesh, the Chief Advisor's Office says.

The meeting was held at the State Guest House Jamuna on Saturday.

The meeting focused on steps to ensure compensation for the victims of the Shapla Chattar massacre, as well as measures to collect and preserve all relevant information and data in connection with the incident, a press release from the CAO says..

Necessary steps to launch an investigation into the attack on the Hifazat-e Islam rally through the United Nations were also discussed.

The progress in withdrawing false cases filed against Hifazat leaders, activists, and clerics during the Sheikh Hasina regime came up as well.

Religious Affairs Advisor AFM Khalid Hossain, Energy Advisor Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, and Industries Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan were present at the meeting, along with key Hifazat leaders.
