Khagrachhari unrest aimed at disrupting Durga Puja celebrations, says Advisor Jahangir

He says the miscreants’ attempts have been thwarted

Home Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has claimed the violent incidents in Khagrachhari were carried out to disrupt the Durga Puja celebrations.

He made this comment after visiting the Dhakeshwari National Temple on Tuesday.

He said, “The incidents that took place in Khagrachhari and Guimara aimed to prevent the Puja from being celebrated peacefully. The activities of those miscreants have been thwarted, and the festivities are proceeding smoothly.”

The advisor said some miscreants involved in the Khagrachhari incident have been identified and brought under law.

He urged everyone to cooperate in ensuring the Durga Puja is observed with devotion and solemnity.
