At least three people have died after five vehicles, including a truck fell, into the Dhaleshwari River from a ferry in Narayanganj.
The incident occurred around 9:30pm on Saturday in the Boktabali area of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila.
A team of River Police divers later recovered two bodies around 1:20am on Sunday. Earlier, another person died in the hospital following the incident, said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Hasinuzzaman.

The ferry had departed from the terminal on the eastern side of Boktabali when the truck unexpectedly started rolling, according to Inspector Md Rakibuzzaman of the local River Police outpost.
"The truck, along with a motorcycle, two battery-powered autorickshaws and a van in front of it, fell into the river."
Police believe the truck had remained in gear after being loaded onto the ferry. When it moved suddenly, the driver was unable to control the truck, causing all vehicles five to sink.
ASP Hasinuzzaman said the truck driver managed to swim ashore following the incident but fled before officers arrived. He added that police are searching for the driver to determine how the accident occurred.
