The event was organised by Syeed Aftab, Chairman of City FM, where Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal MP attended as special guest.
Principal Information Officer Aminul Islam and officials of Bangladesh Betar also attended the event.
Information was not a commodity, rather a service to society, Inu said and urged all to deal responsibly with it.
Radio is never redundant and it proved to be an effective way of reaching people living even in the remotest islands of a country, a fact the incumbent government has fully realised, he added.
Even a rickshaw-puller now can just tune into the FM radio on his mobile phone and enjoy the programmes, Inu continued.
That was where the responsibility lay with the broadcaster, he observed at the gathering of a hundred guests.
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal MP and Syeed Aftab also spoke on the occasion.
