The death toll from relentless rain, flash floods, flooding and landslides across Bangladesh has risen to 51, with Cox's Bazar recording the highest number of fatalities.
Nearly 268,000 families have been stranded across seven flood-hit districts, with the disaster affecting more than 1.02 million people, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief said on Sunday.
Government figures show flooding and waterlogging have hit 58 Upazilas in Chattogram, Khagrachhari, Rangamati, Bandarban, Cox's Bazar, Moulvibazar and Habiganj.
The disaster has also affected 386 unions and 11 municipalities across the seven districts.
