PSC issues recruitment circular for 50th BCS

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the 50th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, aiming to fill 1,755 posts.

The PSC uploaded the circular to its website on Wednesday evening.

Applications will open on Dec 4 at 10am and continue until Dec 31 at 11:59pm through the PSC website (www.bpsc.gov.bd) or Bangladesh Teletalk website (http://bpsc.teletalk.com.bd).

The interim government will make the highest recruitment under the health and administration cadres, filling 650 and 200 positions.

The application fee is Tk 200. Candidates from small ethnic groups, persons with disabilities, and third-gender candidates will pay Tk 50.

As of Nov 1, candidates must be aged between 21 and 32 years to apply.

The preliminary exam will be a two-hour multiple-choice test carrying 200 marks, with 200 questions.

Each correct answer will earn one mark, while 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The PSC plans to complete the entire 50th BCS process within one year. According to the circular:

• Preliminary exam is expected on Jan 30, 2026, with results on Feb 10.

• Written exam will begin on Apr 9, with results anticipated by Jul 30.

• Oral tests, known as viva voce, will start on Aug 10 and continue until Nov 25, with final results announced thereafter.

The preliminary and written exams will be held in eight divisional cities, while oral exams will take place at the PSC’s headquarters. No requests for changes in exam centres will be accepted.
